3-Ingredient Baked Brie

How this guide works: Ingredients are broken down into approximate location in the grocery store, by order that you'd usually purchase them (starting in at the deli, heading to the dry goods section and then to the freezer aisle). There is also a cost of ingredients scale ranging from $ (very cheap) to $$$$ (extremely expensive - I'm not sure any of my recipes even have an ingredient like this yet). 






  • 1 package of brie $$ Brie is found in the cheese display by the deli counter of grocery stores. It's typically sold in triangle wedges or circular disks. I used a circular disk from my favorite grocery store Aldi (Subscribe to the blog @now for an upcoming post about Aldi!).

Dry Goods

  • 1-2 tablespoons of fruit jam or jelly $-$$ Almost any fruit jam or jelly will work here. My favorite with brie is raspberry jam, but you can try something like an orange marmalade or a blueberry jam as well. This item is budget flexible depending on how much you want to spend, like if you'd want to buy a more premium jam with a mix of fruits, which could be fun!

Frozen Aisle

  • 1 sheet puff pastry $$ Puff pastry comes in a pacakge of 2 sheets, so you'll just need 1 for this recipe. Make sure you thaw it on the counter for about 15 minutes beforehand to ensure even cooking. Check out the recipe back for some ideas of how to use that last sheet of puff pastry - it will store for months in the freezer, but my guess is you'll want to make something buttery, flaky, and delicious with it much sooner than that (if not more brie).
